1920, Carpi, a town near Modena, a plain and simple paddy in the heart of the Po Valley.

Fields as far as the eye can see, filiform stems immersed in water, rice weeders hard at work, singing traditional songs. This is where it all began for our company, Riseria Modenese.

An area whose fertile soils are perfect for rice, where the most prized varieties of this cereal grow. A farm dedicated to traditional growing, an age-old rice mill that has passionately carved out a place of excellence among Italian organic rice producers.

Gather a grain, husk it meticulously, take care not to damage it, remember to sing.

From our fields to your fork, that grain is the symbol of our history, of our growth and development as an Italian producer that is open to discovery, to experimentation and emerging technologies.
