From plant to plate: how we grow and mill rice

Rice requires a complex and elaborate milling and treatment process. About 20 processes take place in order one after the other on our production line, leading to an organic, artisan and high-quality product as the end result. Below are the key steps of grain processing.

Where is rice grown in Italy?

Italy is an excellent rice producer and its cultivation areas are mainly located in the north of the country and in the Po Valley. The main cultivation areas include Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna.

Rice fields cover huge areas of these regions, contributing significantly to the production of Italian organic rice. And our manufacturing company also sources this valuable raw material from these very areas.

Our own farm, situated near our facility, supplies us with the rice which, once milled, becomes exquisite Carnaroli rice.
