riseria modenese
Italian rices
When we speak of ethnic rice, we mean the myriad rice varieties whose organoleptic, taste and visual properties make them particularly suitable for preparing traditional oriental dishes and recipes. In our product catalogue you’ll find:
  • Rices grown and sourced from Southeast Asia, from Thailand, Pakistan, and the vast flats of Asia, milled and processed at our facility in Italy.
  • Italian rices, grown and sourced in Italy, with shape and colour characteristics and nutritional values that are especially suited to the preparation of traditional Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian and, in general, Asian dishes.
There are really many varieties of rice that can be classified as ethnic, including Basmati rice, Jasmine rice, red rice, black rice and sushi rice.  Who are we and what can you find in the Ethnic rices category of this website and of our production?  Riseria Modenese has been a rice producer, supplier and wholesaler for generations. We mill, process and produce Italian and ethnic rices at our Italian facility, distributing them to the world of catering and large-scale retail. We package our rice in convenient 20/25kg bags ready for the larders of those who cook rice on a daily basis. You’ll find it in big bags for large supplies too, and we also package it in handy packets ideal for refilling the shelves of supermarkets and food shops. Products for livestock farming and electricity generation

Rice processing creates the following by-products:

  • green rice grains, particularly suitable for feeding farm animals such as chickens, turkeys, hens, geese, guinea fowl, etc.
  • parboiled broken rice and rice fragments, suitable for pets such as dogs and cats.

Nutritious and rich feed products for healthy and balanced animal nutrition.

Additional rice processing by-products such as rice husk and bran are used in agriculture and livestock farming and are sold in bulk at our company.

In recent years, rice husk has also been used for the production of green energy, biogas, and syngas in gasification plants, as well as fuel for cogeneration systems that produce heat and electricity, thanks to its high energy potential and excellent calorific value.
